Preliminary Proposal for Gustaf Rooth
Wine Barrel Chair Project
August 6, 2009
Individual Social Media Management Services • Scope of Work
Design & produce a coherent identity and branding plan for Wine Barrel Chair project,
guided by specific short and long term goals established in yesterday's meeting.
These goals include, but are not limited to:
- establish a direct-sales conduit to the market directly from Gustaf, bypassing traditional wholesale arrangements
- secure "ownership" of as much related online "real estate" as possible
- create a complete story for chairs that paves way for development of Art 101 and other future Gustaf projects
- create a pre-order promotion designed to generate immediate mailing list and immediate cash flow
Since Gustaf has a tremendous body of background content already recorded as well as a huge fan base from
Ray at Night, strategy will focus on further utilizing his unique personal presence via online video to show and tell the
Wine Barrel Chair story.
Video will be disseminated through complete arsenal of interconnected social media channels and Gustaf has already established a necessary presence
there on FaceBook. With the aim of dominating search page returns and claiming complete, first mover authority of the Wine Barrel Chair concept, we will
establish a kind of virtual trademark established with integrity in the practical online marketplace.
Channels to be used include, but are not limited to:
- regular blog publishing of video and related content
- strategic cross-platform image sharing via Flickr and YouTube
- pay-per-click advertising
- Twitter and other real-time publishing applications
- Online Press Release services
- Online article & comment placement
We discussed a rough outline of the plan yesterday involving recording of remaining footage needed, planning and working together before I move out of San Diego
at the end of the month, with a goal of "launching" new coherent Wine Barrel Chair brand/identity directly after Labor Day to position product for holiday buying immediacy as soon as possible.
I typically start around $6000 for this robust a set-up package and it takes about 60 days usually to "complete", with ongoing monthly service negotiable. Since in reality you are never "done" with a site-- regular posting is the key-- I generally include as much training in blogging/publishing/editing as my clients want or need.
For reference, the automotive project I shared with you is a monthly service of writing/publishing and ongoing "personalization" with a retail price around $1000/month.
Ultimately, these services are scalable and custom designed to fit into and maximize YOUR business plan and assist you in making way more than enough money to pay for themselves if you have the right product/market/personality--
Gustaf clearly has all of these and it would be an honor to help him get rich and famous with these chairs!
Respectfully prepared,
John Hiemstra
