Alphonse Mucha was an insanely amazing artist that painted in the 1800′s.
I picked one of his pieces to paint in watercolor.
I copied his composition while altering the colors.

I have recently completed a reproduction of Monet’s The Bodmer Oak fontainbleau painted in 1865. I love painting landscapes in the impressionistic style because the main focus is on light and color.

I am a Finalist in a competition for a solo exhibition at Dacia Gallery in Manhattan!

This deck of cards was created in memory of my grandmother Phyllis
who always brought the family together to play games.

Cards have always fascinated me and it was a fun challenge to create these
54 watercolor paintings.

Rock Meditation was sold by Axelle Gallery in Soho Manhattan, New York to a high profile client!
It has already been shipped to his beach home in Florida.

This is a traditional oil portrait.
It was commissioned by Jerry as a surprise wedding gift to his new bride Jessica.
I loved adding the little details that bring the painting to life.

Lately I have been doing many portraits.
I am currently in the process of doing my first oil painting portrait of a couple as a commission. I also struck out into the wild Manhattan city and drew portraits for donations in Union Square.
Today was a rainy day and it is perfect weather for staying inside and painting watercolor. So today I looked closely into a mirror and completed my first watercolor portrait.

Commissioned by my friend, this poppy painting was a welcome challenge. Poppies are my favorite flower because their petals are pure vibrant colors and this very fact made them difficult to paint! The bright colors have very subtle variations in them to give them texture and depth. The background on the other had was a fun day of splattering green and black paint onto the canvas. A fun way to start a painting.

My fastest oil painting yet, Autumn Leaves was completed in 4 days of rigorous painting! It was fun to power through and keep it loose.
